Is insuring the building enough?
We consider buildings, equipment and stock separately, whether you own or rent the premises. You know which assets are included and up to what amount.
How we plan around your needs
We record locations and values.
Activities, facilities, equipment and stock build the picture of your business. We account for seasonal changes in stock levels.
We select the risks to consider.
We start with fire insurance and discuss additional needs, such as natural events or theft, based on the premises and available options.
I explain how the proposal works.
We check insured values, limits, exclusions, deductibles and required protective measures. We also discuss provisions for potential business interruption.
On-site and in transit: two separate checks
- Goods at your business premises
- Property cover assessment
- Goods in transit
- Separate transit cover assessment
An illustrative distinction between needs. Insuring your premises does not automatically cover shipments.
Before you choose
- An accurate description of activities, premises and assets.
- Insured values and any underinsurance.
- Covered events, limits, deductibles and protective measures.
- Business interruption terms and separate transit cover, where needed.
Your first questions
If operations stop, is lost income covered?
We check whether business interruption cover has been agreed and what conditions trigger it. We do not assume it exists simply because fire insurance is in place.
Does cover automatically follow every shipment?
Goods-in-transit insurance is considered separately, based on routes, cargo type, shipment declarations and contract terms.
