Does it cover every business difficulty?
This life insurance is triggered by a covered death. A fall in turnover, a resignation or a late customer payment does not, in itself, trigger cover.
How we plan around your needs
We define the transition period.
We discuss how long the business would need to reorganise its operations without that person.
We compare payments and resources over the same period.
Loans, suppliers and operating needs are compared with genuinely available liquidity. We check the assumptions with your financial advisers.
We examine the insurance structure.
The insured person, policyholder, beneficiary, sum insured and duration must all serve the same business purpose.
Business partners and succession
We consider the capital needed to support the family and an agreed succession plan. Life insurance can help fund that plan; transferring ownership interests requires separate arrangements with legal and accounting advisers.
Family protectionFrom the balance sheet to a conversation about liquidity
- Obligations over the selected period
- €120,000
- Resources available over the same period
- −€40,000
A hypothetical example, not a company valuation or a recommendation for the sum insured. A balance sheet alone is not enough: payment dates, collection timing and operating assumptions are needed. Payment is subject to assessment of a covered claim.
Before you choose
- Which people are critical to continuity.
- Obligations and available funds over the same time horizon.
- The beneficiary and the actual purpose of the capital.
- Underwriting acceptance, terms and accounting/tax treatment.
Your first questions
Do I need to send financial documents through the form?
No. We begin with a meeting, then agree which information is needed and how to exchange it.
Is there an automatic tax benefit?
We do not assume that every Key Person arrangement receives the same tax treatment. Your accountant should review your specific circumstances.
